VAC-U-MAX Introduces the Aero-Flex Rigid IBC Discharge Station

The rigid Intermediate Bulk Container, IBC, is lifted on the top of the heavy duty support frame where the discharge valve on the IBC comes in contact with the spring loaded seal for a dust free system. Once in place the operator will manually open a discharge valve allowing the powder to gravity flow through a rare earth magnet into the pick up adaptor for the VAC-U-0MAX Aero-Flex Flexible Screw Conveyor. The material is then conveyed to the process.

Ultrasonic Power Corp. Introduces Expanded Line of Industrial Bench Tops

Freeport, IL, USA……An expanded line-up of heavy-duty, industrial bench top, ultrasonic cleaning tanks has been announced by Ultrasonic Power Corporation. The augmented offering expands the Ultrasonic Power ‘H-Series’ from four models to 12. ‘H-Series’ bench tops are configured with separate ultrasonic tank, made of high quality stainless steel, and a UPC 5300 series generator. Tank capacity ranges from 1.9 gallons to 52.4 gallons. Working area of tanks vary. Longest tank is 60 inches. Widest tank is 24 inches. And deepest tank is 18 inches. (See chart below.) The 12 different sizes will accommodate a wide variety of components or items to be cleaned. Any of UPC’s sales engineers would be available to assist with determining appropriate cleaning solutions and tank sizes. Ultrasonic Power also manufacturers six ‘SE-Series’ bench top units where the generator and tank are built into a fabricated, stainless steel enclosure.

Green Cleaning With High Performance Ultrasonic Cleaners

Ultrasonic cleaning technology has proven to be an ideal choice for purging products of unwanted contaminants. High frequency sound waves in a liquid cause a cavitation which is key to cleaning away impurities. The lower the frequency means there will be larger pressure waves. The larger pressure waves results in larger bubbles. The downside of these high energy bubbles is the larger bubbles are less likely to penetrate into small cracks. The frequency is a paramount factor to determine how efficient an ultrasonic cleaner will function based upon your application. Ultrasonic cleaners which are equipped with adjustable frequency settings are often sought after depending on the requirements of product and situation. An ideal bubble size for most job tasks is generally 1 micron which is .00004 inches. This size bubble is generated from a frequency of 40kHz. However there are various advantages for utilizing lower frequencies. Applications involving cleaning engines, radiators or heavy duty metals usually require a frequency of 25kHz to adequately clean the product. This frequency allows for a strong cleaning force but could possibly damage weaker parts.
