Vacuum Leak Detectors

Leaks of any nature are never a good thing to have. Whether that leak is occurring in a water well, or in a gas chamber, leaks are unanimously thought of to be bad. Being able to detect a leak is very important. It not only can prevent disasters and injuries, it also prevents the loss of materials and supplies and valuable work time in a manufacturing environment. There are many different ways to detect a leak, and each one is more suitable for different circumstances than others.

Leaks and The Right System

Finding out that you have a leak in one of your systems is not the best feeling in the world. It is a gut wrenching panic whether it is a leak in a water pipe or gas pipe. In today’s world, pipes can be found everywhere. They can be found under streets for water and even in the ocean floor for oil. There are networks of pipe lines all over the globe dedicated to transporting oil, gases, water and other fluids. And while leaks can occur in any of these situations, the scariest ones are the ones that occur in places where they cannot be mended, such as the ocean floor. We have experienced the consequences such an event can have in the disaster the gulf had not long ago.

The Sensitive Vacuum Gauge

When liquids and gases are concealed in a pressure vessel or some sort of sealed system, the internal pressure is created. To measure this pressure, pressure gauges are utilized. Depending on the gauge, the devices can read between 10 and 10,000 psi. Vacuum gauges are a sub-category of pressure gauges that are used to measure sub-atmospheric or vacuum pressures within a contained system. Perhaps the most sensitive vacuum gauge is th e ionization gauge, which is utilized to measure very low pressures.

Preventing Dementia with Pressure Transducers?

Pressure transducer suppliers create a wide variety of pressure sensors and transducers for a wide range of applications. Pressure sensors are necessary in many applications for monitoring industrial processes to guiding traffic lights, and even controlling the opening and closing of doors. With all the uses for pressure sensors out there, it is not surprising that a new use for the products come out everyday.

No More Dollar Store Hoses

There’s a good chance that if you ever bought a cheap dollar store hose for watering your garden or washing your car, sooner or later you found out why the product was so cheap. I’ve had many encounters with these products, which is the simultaneous expression of my cheapness, inability to learn my lesson and my general stupidity. Every time my dollar store hose springs a leak or otherwise becomes unusable, I find myself thinking, “Well, time to head back to the dollar store for a new hose.” What’s so frustrating about using these products is that a single, small defect can render the entire product useless. And what’s worse: causing these single, small defects is extremely easy and extremely common.

Quick Disconnects Make Life Easier

There’s something to be said for a tool that makes life easier, even if that tool doesn’t necessarily save money or greatly improve a process. It’s true that quick disconnects can save time and money. They can make a process take less time, and making a process less time-consuming can be a money saver for a company. But there’s something to be said for the simple convenience that a quick disconnect allows its user compared to a threaded connector.

Quick Couplings of all Variety

Quick release couplings come in handy in many different types of situations. Many industrial manufactures use these devices on a daily basis to help the flow of operations run smoothly throughout the day. These are especially predominant when a company handles with the transferring of liquids on a regular basis. The job of a quick release coupling is to connect two hoses or tubes together to transfer liquids from one to the other. While liquid runs through, one of the hoses can easily become detached and the fluid will stop automatically preventing any spills or leaks from happening. These are extremely beneficial when toxic liquids are running through hoses as any spillage of these sorts can harm any surrounding people and the environment.

Selecting the Right Air Quick Release Coupler

Air quick release couplers have undisputed value as time and effort savers in a variety of contexts. In industry, they keep fluid transmission lines connected reliably while simultaneously offering the ease and convenience of quick coupling and releasing. This is also true in commercial contexts as well as in consumer products contexts and for hobbyists and institutional users. Everyone who’s ever had the opportunity to use and compare both quick couplers and the alternatives – threaded couplers or other couplers without bearings and sleeves – can attest to how much more convenient it is to use an air quick coupler than an alternative.

Turning on the Apparatus

At my house, if we want to use our big screen television we have to go through the ordeal that we call “turning on the apparatus.” We go through this tribulation because in order to use our media device we must turn on the T.V., the audio system that is hooked up to speakers and the Playstation 3. We don’t have cable so we use Netflix through the Playstation. None of this would be possible without using an adapter. Without using this male coupler there would be no way all those plugs would reach the outlets and our entertainment system would be of no use.

Process Chillers: A Process for Daily Use

Growing up in a newspaper family I learned in the ins and outs of a printing press and the process involved. As a child I loved walking into the printing facility and letting the smell of ink and paper fill my nose. Process chillers are used extensively in the printing industry to regulate temperatures in the presses.

What is the Function of a Water Pressure Regulator?

A water pressure regulator is a useful tool in many different appliances, machines, and industrial processes. The main purpose of a water pressure regulator is to reduce the incoming water pressure inside a machine to protect the components of the system. Factories use these pressure regulators in manufacturing equipment, products that they manufacture, and any plumbing system used in the factory. Since many plumbing lines have much higher water pressure than individual units can handle safely, the necessity of water pressure regulators is apparent.

Pressure Regulators: A Serious Safety Measure

Almost every system and device used in industrial, commercial and residential settings requires some sort of safety feature, whether it is a warning label on a can of food or a hair dryer, or a linear slide that limits how a machine opens and closes to a certain extent. With pipes, a safety mechanism is necessary to ensure that if there is a back-up or some other sort of problem with the gas or liquid flowing through the system, the pipes don’t burst in response. That sort of reaction would cause whomever owned the pipes a lot of money, whether in a home, a chemical processing plant, a grocery store or a dairy farm.

Our Friend the Pressure Gauge

Next to cell phones and remote controls, pressure gauges are some of the most common doodads we use in this world. Unlike cell phones and remotes controls, though, it is not merely a matter of paying your phone bill or putting in new batteries that promises definitive steadfastness and functionality– pressure gauges, if not routinely checked and properly maintained, can lead to serious damage and, in some cases, fatality. And because there are so many of them being utilized for such a wide range of common and/or necessary applications, the chances of overlooks are high and, as a matter of course, accidents and deaths due to leaks and contamination are not as uncommon as one might like to think. Old manufacturing facilities, for an example, are often times afflicted with unchecked or faulty pressure gauges. Often times, companies will overcompensate by installing an unnecessary number of gauges throughout the buildings, which can lead to confusion and negligence. The point being, pressure gauges help us keep danger at bay– help us gauge the pressure around us and inside the variety of containers we use to hold all the many different types of fluids and gasses we depend on. Like we learned as children in the tale of the quick-witted dutch boy plugging the leaky dyke with his handy thumb, too much pressure and not enough protection, care and attentiveness can have dire results. Pressure maintenance is certainly a dangerous and risky endeavor and the employment of a well-maintained and functioning pressure gauge is, literally, a life saver.

Pressure Switches Ensure Correct Operation Time Measurements

Hobbs meters, also known as hour meters, are electrically driven instruments used to measure elapsed time. Time is measured in increments of one hour and 1/10 of an hour. Results are displayed on a rotary odometer like certain old clocks. These meters are used extensively on airplanes and in the aviation industry. There are a number of different applications that can use hour meters but a single meter can only record one stream of information at a time.

Save Space with Combo Sensors

Many factories use air pressure sensors and temperature sensors in the same machines. Usually, each sensor is its own separate unit. This can waste space and reduce the efficiency of the machine or container due to loss of space and capacity. Although a miniature air pressure sensor is one alternative to larger units, there is one step further than factories can take to save space in their equipment.

The Gold Standard for Identifying Substances

With the Olympics finally over NBC can start running the long awaited show Animal Hospital…Whether you watched every event that you could conceivably manage to watch or were unimpressed by the performances of the world’s finest athletes, the Olympics are a grand spectacle all the same. From rumors and scandals to triumphs and Cinderella stories, the Olympics has it all. Out of all the doping rumors and scandals, only one athlete’s test results turned up positive for anabolic steroids. The athlete was forced to return her medal. Honestly, I don’t know how anyone could think they’d get away with it after the Olympic committee’s crackdown on drugs.

Testing Your Air Pressure Switch Performance

Have you tested your air pressure switches and valves recently? While many valves are designed to open and close instantaneously, over time, the opening and closing process can become warped and take much longer than originally designed. This can cause serious problems with machinery, leading to leaks, machinery malfunctions, or even entire mechanical failure. By testing your air pressure switches and valves for their opening and closing speeds, you can help avoid many problems with the system in the future.

You Can’t Beat Custom Chillers

Nothing is better than something custom made. It is something that is made just for you and no one else. It fits like a glove and is exactly how you want it. Custom made products can range from shoes to clothes to purses to cars to mixed tapes, even to industrial products such as lathes or chillers.
