How to Lift a Car with a Rotary Lift
Hydraulic lift manufacturers create hydraulic lifts for a wide variety of situations and uses. You can find hydraulic lifts used to wire electricity, work on roofs, clean windows, raise and lower industrial pallets and products, to help the elderly remain mobile, and many other places. One hydraulic lift type created by hydraulic lift manufacturers is the rotary lift. This replaces the standard car lifting jack, and is safer and can help raise the vehicle faster and more efficiently. If you have the opportunity to lift a vehicle with a hydraulic lift, it makes changing a tire or working on the bottom of the car much easier.
Here are the basic steps to raising a vehicle with a rotary lift:
Drive or push the car over the lift. There is a small piece of metal that identifies the position of the nose of the car on the lift. Align each of the lift points slightly behind each wheel, so that when the lift starts to rise, the vehicle will be lifted safely and easily.
Turn on the lift and allow the car to rise gently into the air. Stop the lift once the lift points make contact with the bottom of the car. Make sure the lift points are touching the vehicle in the correct places before raising the lift any higher. Stop the lift when the car is high enough to work on the necessary parts. If you are changing a tire, this will be about one inch off of the ground.
Gently jiggle the vehicle to ensure that the car is stable on the lift before working on the car. You can get seriously injured if a car slips off the lift while you are working on it. If you need access to the bottom of the car, you can raise the lift all the way up to allow access to the entire base of the car.
