The Hunt For A New Screen Door

Now that the weather is finally staying consistently warm in my neck of the woods, over the weekend the time had come to see what sort of damage the winter may have doled out to my window and door screens. I try to buy a lot of my home improvement materials from local places, so I did some research to find out where the perforated metal manufacturers are in my area. A couple of the manufactures even had showrooms where I could go and check out the various kinds of screens they had to offer. The thing about screen doors, I discovered, is that there are an awful lot of them from which to choose. It’s great that perforated metal manufacturers have come out with such a large number of choices; I was fortunate not to get stuck staring at screen options all day because I just needed my sliders replaced. One of the neatest options, I thought, was that I was able to choose the shade of the screen itself. I didn’t know they came in shades, but the showroom manager showed me that you can obtain screens that are much darker than they used to be; this is a nice perk when you want to have an open door but you still want some privacy.  Once I’d chosen, I ordered my new screens. I can’t wait to see how they look.
