Nylon can be found in several types of brushes. These include artist brushes, power brushes, cleaning brushes, spiral brushes and strip brushes. Each brush can also contain different lengths and diameters of nylon strands. Nylon can come in a variety of shapes, colors, grades and types. When it comes to the shape they can be round, cylindrical, flat, spiral or many others. As for colors, it can be found in its natural color which is a milky clear, or it can be dyed. Most often when dyed it is either black or yellow. Depending on the grade of the nylon, it can be more expensive than other polymers. However, there are many advantages to purchasing this polymer over others. Depending on the specific grade, it can offer low to moderate water absorption, and it is able to work in both dry and wet climates. In the range of specialty nylons there are types such as abrasive nylon and conductive nylon. Abrasive nylon is often used for deburring and cutting applications. It is made with grain materials like silicon carbide, diamond or aluminum oxide. Meanwhile conductive nylon is used as a static eliminator to maintain static-free environments.
